Facilities of the Waldorf School Luxembourg

The principal site for the Waldorf School Luxembourg is state-owned land in Limpertsberg, a district of Luxembourg City.

The main building

The main building was erected in 1991 by the state and today houses 5 preschool classes and 6 primary grade classrooms. Also located in this building are the teacher’s room, administration facilities, gym, workshop, craft room, music room, eurhythmy room, laboratory and the canteen.

The two-story building

In 2004 a two-story building, partly funded by the state (80%) was added to the site of the Waldorfschool Luxembourg. It consists of 6 secondary grade classrooms, an auditorium, a science laboratory, the IB office, the student library and a computer room. A student lounge was added in 2015.

The “Waldorf Maison Relais”

The “Waldorf Maison Relais” is also located on site, where children between 3 and 12 years old are taken care of after school hours.

Playground

Since 2012 at the Limpertsberg site, children have enjoyed a whole new playground that was constructed by parents and carpenters.

New Buildings 2014

In September 2014, three new buildings were constructed of which one houses all the preschool classes. There is a new art building with two workshops and two additional classrooms above and a theatre building consisting of a rehearsal room and props-room.

Kids on the farm

Since 2013 the biodynamic farm called the “Kass-Haff” (Rollingen/Mersch) houses one of our kindergarden groups.
