Learning from the workplace via some work experience complements school education. Pupils can then learn about the economy and social relationships. They can experience that learning is from, about and for life &#8211; a life long learning.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Perception, self-awareness and awareness of others as well as self confidence, reliability and creativity are cultivated. Pupils are encouraged to follow their convictions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Depending on individual choice and an orientation process, pupils will finish schooling either in Grade 11 with a \u201cfinal dossier\u201d or undertake a pre-IB year leading to the International Baccalaureate which will take two additional years.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The following guidelines are for information only, each year curriculum will be adjusted according to the needs of the class and pupils.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-kadence-pane kt-accordion-pane kt-accordion-pane-15 kt-pane2262_09c6a1-7a\"><h2 class=\"kt-accordion-header-wrap\"><button class=\"kt-blocks-accordion-header kt-acccordion-button-label-show\" type=\"button\"><span class=\"kt-blocks-accordion-title-wrap\"><span class=\"kt-blocks-accordion-title\">The role of the teacher<\/span><\/span><span class=\"kt-blocks-accordion-icon-trigger\"><\/span><\/button><\/h2><div class=\"kt-accordion-panel kt-accordion-panel-hidden\"><div class=\"kt-accordion-panel-inner\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A teacher called \u201cRegent\u201d will be the point of contact for the whole class, and together with specialised subject teachers and tutors, this constitutes the faculty.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The \u2018Regent\u2019 meets the class once a week in order to deal with queries, problems and to give impulses. The \u2018Regent\u2019 also teaches his or her class regularly.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-kadence-pane kt-accordion-pane kt-accordion-pane-16 kt-pane2262_021fef-5e\"><h2 class=\"kt-accordion-header-wrap\"><button class=\"kt-blocks-accordion-header kt-acccordion-button-label-show\" type=\"button\"><span class=\"kt-blocks-accordion-title-wrap\"><span class=\"kt-blocks-accordion-title\">Timetables<\/span><\/span><span class=\"kt-blocks-accordion-icon-trigger\"><\/span><\/button><\/h2><div class=\"kt-accordion-panel kt-accordion-panel-hidden\"><div class=\"kt-accordion-panel-inner\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The curriculum is divided into 3 equal parts:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Language &amp; social sciences<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Mathematics &amp; natural sciences<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Arts-crafts &amp; movement<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">As a general rule, pupils have 10 units of 90 minutes for the more general subjects and 10 units of 60 minutes for Arts-crafts &amp; movements classes, weekly.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Subjects are taught in two-to-four week modules taking into account individual learning processes and levels.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">For the last 2 years of secondary, there is sometimes the need to add additional afternoon hours for 8 to 12 weeks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><a href=\"https:\/\/waldorf.lu\/en\/school-hours\/\" data-type=\"page\" data-id=\"1958\">For the school hours click here<\/a><\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-kadence-pane kt-accordion-pane kt-accordion-pane-16 kt-pane2262_e80e12-d4\"><h2 class=\"kt-accordion-header-wrap\"><button class=\"kt-blocks-accordion-header kt-acccordion-button-label-show\" type=\"button\"><span class=\"kt-blocks-accordion-title-wrap\"><span class=\"kt-blocks-accordion-title\">Manuals<\/span><\/span><span class=\"kt-blocks-accordion-icon-trigger\"><\/span><\/button><\/h2><div class=\"kt-accordion-panel kt-accordion-panel-hidden\"><div class=\"kt-accordion-panel-inner\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Waldorf curriculum aims to provide each age group with content that is adapted to them, to choose carefully&nbsp; from the many topics available and to conduct lessons in a lively and concrete manner.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In our school current state schoolbooks are not deemed adequate.
